Banbury Cross Players present 'Our Country's Good', 21-23 November 2024

Banbury Cross Players are proud to present their upcoming production of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s critically acclaimed play, Our Country’s Good, based on the novel The Playmaker by Thomas Keneally.

Set in 1788, the play tells the remarkable true story of a group of Royal Marines and convicts in an Australian penal colony who unite to stage a production of George Farquhar’s play, The Recruiting Officer. Through this shared artistic endeavour, they discover the transformative power of theatre, resilience, and the human spirit.

Runs from 21-23 November 2024 at 7.30pm
