ODN PANTOMIME/WINTER PLAY FESTIVAL 2022-23

Once again we will be running our Winter Festival Competition for Pantomimes as well as Seasonal Plays, Musicals etc. Below is a list of some of the awards that we will be presenting next year.

Rutherford & Son by Githa Sowerby - Bartholomew Players (Eynsham)

Bartholomew Players present: "Rutherford and Son” by Githa Sowerby Written and first staged in 1912, this play was a major success in London and New York. It bears comparison with the best works of George Bernard Shaw, Henrik Ibsen and D.H. Lawrence. In the play, John Rutherford, is the patriarchal owner of a northern glassworks whose world is crumbling.

A Fete Worse Than Death, the comedy whodunnit by Richard James - Dorchester ADS

It’s the day of Thornton’s Village Fete and the competitors in the various produce competitions arrive in such a state of anticipation and expectation that feelings very soon reach fever pitch! In this comedy ambition, infidelity and marrow envy culminate in the death of one of the competitors but, who is the guilty party? 

The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley - The Wychwood Players

A young man accidently strands six passengers at a remote Cornish railway station.   Despite the psychic stationmaster’s disturbing tales of a ghost train, they decide to stay the night in the waiting room.  
Soon they regret this decision as ghostly and not so ghostly apparitions appear, before the young man reveals the true reason behind the night’s events.

The poor Emperor hasn't a clue what is going on with his hapless police force Sergeant Ping and PC Pong.  

Who Killed the Secret Agent?

Kennington Amateur Dramatic Society - Aladdin

LVP are proud to announce their next panto will be "Hickory Dickory Dock", written by LVP members Rod and Nikki Fine, with music by Steve Webber and directed by Julia West.

7 shows will be performed from Wednesday 15th February to Saturday 18th February 2023, in Cooper School Performance Hall.

AUDITIONS - "Getting Dark" by Joe Graham (Banbury Cross Players)
