A Summer of Farce - Come and Join the Fun!

I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to the Blewbury Players in the summer of 2027, when we’ll be taking a glorious journey into the wonderfully chaotic world of French farce with An Absolute Turkey by Georges Feydeau, adapted by Nicky Frei and Peter Hall.

There’ll be misunderstandings, mistaken identities, doors opening and closing at precisely the wrong moments, and all the delicious madness that makes farce such a joy to perform and to watch.

But first, we need a company!

As an actor, I’ve always believed that an audition is a job in itself. You go along, give it your best, enjoy the experience, have some fun and, if it leads to a part, that’s a lovely bonus. That’s exactly the spirit I want to bring to our auditions.

We’ll decide on the precise format nearer the time, but my ambition is to make them lively, welcoming and, above all, fun. Whether you’re an old hand at farce or someone who’s always fancied giving acting a go, I’d love to see you.

So come along, say hello, bring your enthusiasm and your sense of humour, and let’s begin our journey towards a fabulous summer of farce in 2027!
