Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group have the following items we would like to dispose of due to the modernisation of our stage lighting system:
1 No. Strand Tempus 6 x 10 kw Analogue Dimmer.
1 No. Strand Tempus 12 Channel – 2 Group – 2 Preset Analogue Control Desk.
2 No. Strand Batten ‘S’ Flood Lantern Units.
The Desk and Dimmer were purchased new in the late 1980’s and have five analogue flexes of various lengths for connecting them up. The dimmer has a 60-amp single phase plug and a three meter long, suitably rated power flex. Neither unit has been used for some time and so, the Dimmer (although in good working order when last used) will require a Portable Appliance (PAT) Test. The Desk takes its (low voltage) power from the Dimmer and so, shouldn’t require a PAT Test.
The Batten units would, probably, have been manufactured in the 1960’s and have 8 lamp sections each, over three circuits (3, 3 & 2 lamps per circuit respectively). They are wired with 15A plugs and sockets so that they can be used separately or plugged up and linked together to the combination of your choice. Each lamp section has a ‘pebbled’ reflector and were designed to hold a 150w bayonet cap tungsten bulb. We have a full set of 150w Tungsten bulbs (16 +1 spare) plus colour frames, and the Battens would hold Tungsten Halogen or even Warm White or Cool White LED Bulbs if you wish to use alternative lamps. Each unit is just over 6ft long and has the original brackets for either floor use or hanging. (Appropriate fixing clamps may be needed if hanging.) Both units have PAT certificates that expire in May 2026.
